Are you traveling to North London this weekend and next week?

We looked at planned rail disruptions and major road works in Brent, Kilburn, Hampstead, Highgate, Camden Town and surrounding areas.

Here are some of the potential delays to avoid from Saturday December 11 through Friday December 17.

The service will be reduced on the London Overground on Saturday and Sunday (December 11 and 12).

At least 10 trains in each direction will not run between Gospel Oak and Barking at different times during the two days.

On Sunday, the Metropolitan line will not have service between Wembley Park and Aldgate until 11am due to emergency works.

The Jubilee Line will also be closed between Wembley Park and Willesden Green during those hours when work will be carried out.

A JL2 replacement bus service will operate between Stonebridge Park (for the Bakerloo line and London Overground connections) and Willesden Green, stopping at Wembley Park, Neasden and Dollis Hill.

Metro passengers are also told that there will be little or no service on the Central and Victoria lines from 7 p.m. on both days, due to planned nighttime metro strikes.

There are no major disruptions expected during the week.

At Wembley, delays are likely on High Road due to several roadworks going on between Ealing Road and Park Lane.

Two-way signals will also be in place in Park Lane until the end of Tuesday for separate work, while one lane will be closed on Bridgewater Road until Monday.

Watch out for roadworks on Willesden High Road Tuesday.

Road work at Cricklewood Broadway continues through Friday evening and nearby at Shoot Up Hill through Saturday.

At Maida Vale, two-way signals will be in place on Shirland Road at the Elgin Avenue junction Monday morning through Friday evening.

In the Hampstead area, traffic control measures will be in place at Rosslyn Hill until Monday evening, while a road closure on Fitzjohn Avenue will be in place until the end of January.

Delays are likely around the intersection of Highgate Road and Gordon House Road until Wednesday evening while construction is completed.

Road works on Avenue Road in St John’s Wood are also expected to continue through Wednesday.

Disruption can be expected on Kentish Town Road, near Prince of Wales Road, until midweek.

A lane will be closed for roadworks on Eversholt Street, next to London Euston station, from Thursday to Saturday.
