Resita Locomotives signs RB / DB Jacquel Watson

the Resita locomotives, Romanian American Football League semi-finalists in 2021 announced the signing of running back / defensive back Jacquel Watson.

The 5’9 “, 216 pounds, 26 years old native of Vernon, Florida spent the first part of the 2021 season with the Jagodina’s Black Hornets in the Serbian upper division. In six games, he carried the ball 63 times for 585 yards and six touchdowns while catching 10 passes for 40 yards. He also recorded 26 tackles in defense, six tackles for a loss while intercepting six assists. He then signed on to star in Germany Div. III with the Bielefeld Bulldogs.

Watson spent the 2017-19 seasons playing for the New Jersey Outlaw and New Jersey Sharks in the MLF.

He graduated from Concordia College Alabama where the versatile, two-way athlete rushed for 1,000 yards while also recording three interceptions in defense. He also played on the Concordia baseball team.

During a recent private training with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Watson was timed to a 4.46 laser stopwatch in the 40-yard dash.
