Hitachi Information Control Systems Europe and GCRE sign on the digital dotted line

The celebrations were on at the annual dinner at the Roundhouse, the rail industry’s favorite networking event in its 11e year with over 700 guests from across the UK rail industry.

Keynote speakers included Andre Haines OBE, Chief Executive of Network Rail and one of the UK’s most influential transport figures. It was a great insight into the broader rail industry as well as an opportunity to hear the opinions of industry leaders.

For Hitachi Information Control Systems Europe, it was a fantastic event to be able to come together and mark the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Global Center of Rail Excellence (GCRE), which foresees collaboration on simulation, modeling and operations for the future GCRE site.

Denise Watkins, Head of Sales at HICSE, said, “We are delighted to be part of this exciting new development. Once opened, the GCRE will provide vital services to the UK and international rail industry and accelerate the introduction of innovative technologies. We are proud to support the GCRE team in the realization of this ambitious project.

Finally, the event is not just about networking and bonding, it is about demonstrating the generosity that has always existed within the rail industry, raising over a quarter of a million to date for charities, proving the incredible power of the sector to drive change and help those in need.
