Severn Valley Railway hope to reveal more guests over the coming weeks for what is expected to be a fantastic event and their final diesel event of the year.
Gus Dunster, Vice Chairman of Severn Valley Railway (Holdings) Plc, said: “We are delighted that the Deltic Preservation Society has cleared 55009 to visit the SVR and I know it will be a great attraction for passengers taking part in the event.
“We were disappointed that the locomotive missed our spring event, but we are so excited to have him visit for our Autumn Diesel Bash!”
55009 will also host diesel footpeg experiences ahead of the Autumn Diesel Bash, many of which are already sold out.
Gus added: “We are honored that the locomotive will also be programmed for diesel baseplate experiences during his visit, allowing people to experience the power of a Deltic firsthand! Seats for this unique experience are already selling out quickly, so I encourage people wishing to get in the 55009 taxi to book their experience as soon as possible!
