Children injured and woman killed in Greenspoint crash

One of the children was thrown from the vehicle, the sheriff’s office later confirmed.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A woman was killed and three children were injured in an accident Thursday night, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident happened near the intersection of Swords Creek Road and TC Jester Boulevard, in Greenspoint.

The sheriff’s office said it was after 9 p.m. when Eric Garcia was driving a Cadillac sedan southbound, colliding with a Chevrolet SUV driven by Angelina Billups.

One child was thrown from Billups’ vehicle, and a total of three children were taken to hospital by Life Flight with CPR. Billups died at the scene, however.

The driver of the Cadillac and his passenger were also taken to hospital with injuries.

MPs said Billups was looking to TC Jester at the time of the crash, but the cause of the incident remained under investigation.

An update on children’s conditions was not provided immediately late Friday afternoon.

Editor’s Note: An earlier version of this story indicated that two children were involved in the wreckage, but the sheriff’s office later clarified that three children were injured.
